Mark D. Swanson is a partner at Swanson Law Firm, continuing the family tradition of his Grandfather, R.J. Swanson, who began practice in Montgomery County, Iowa in 1920 and his Father, R. John Swanson, who practiced in Red Oak from 1948 until his death in 2005.
Mark was born and raised in Red Oak, Iowa, leaving for Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts in 1966 and graduating in 1970. He received his B.A. from Yale University in 1974 and his J.D. from Boston University in Boston, Massachusetts in 1977. Following law school, Mark returned to Red Oak, beginning practice at Swanson Law Firm in 1978.  He is married and has three grown daughters.

Bruce E. Swanson, J.D.

Bruce E. Swanson is a partner at Swanson Law Firm, following the family tradition of his grandfather, R.J. Swanson, who commenced practice in Montgomery county in 1920, and his father, R. John Swanson, who practiced in Red Oak from 1948 until his death in 2005.
Bruce was born and raised in Red Oak, Iowa. He received his B.S. from the University of Iowa in 1980 and his J.D. from Creighton University in 1983. After three years as the Deputy Pottawattamie County Public Defender, Bruce returned to Red Oak and began practice with his father and brother (current partner, Mark D. Swanson) in 1986. Bruce is an extremely active member of the Montgomery county community, currently serving on the board of three different local organizations. He is married and has four adult children.

Drew B. Swanson, J.D.

Drew B. Swanson is the fourth-generation of the Swanson family to practice law at Swanson Law Firm.  Drew was born and raised in Red Oak, Iowa, where he developed a passion for both the law and small hometown values.  He received his Bachelors degree from the University of Iowa in May 2014, double-majoring in Political Science and Sociology.  Immediately thereafter, Drew attended Creighton University School of Law, graduating with his Juris Doctorate in May 2017.  Drew received his license to practice law in Iowa on September 28, 2017, and now serves as a partner attorney at Swanson Law Firm.
